This class is designed to help the student discover methods in using acrylics to help to express their individual style. Acrylics are a very versatile and amazing medium. They allow the student to develop their own "tricks" and style. This fast drying paint makes for quick overlays and can even act as a glue to create textures and other unique results. Acrylics are gentle on the budget as any grade is good - unlike oils that vary in quality. This medium can also mimic watercolor, pastel, and even oils. Take the anxiety out of painting and have fun. The first week we will work from my photo and paint a realistic version of the flower. The second week we will try a new creative version of the flower. We will be working with new materials including papers, oil pastel, polymer medium, etc. The second week we will also be working on creative compositions.
