Workshops

Workshops are scheduled throughout the year, featuring both local and national instructors. These workshops vary in length from one day to one week. Fees vary according to the workshop.

Nancy Wylie — Painting Color and Light in Pastel

February 10 &11 — 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Nancy Wylie is a realist landscape and floral painter working in watercolor, pastels and oil. As a 6th generation native of Arvada, Co, Nancy loves how the blue skies and sunshine in creation create deep values and colors giving her inspiration for her work. Nancy graduated from the University of Northern Colorado, taught art in Jefferson County Schools,and paints full time. She is very busy teaching workshops,giving critiques, and jurying shows locally and nationally.

Nancy is a signature member of the Colorado Watercolor Society and a Master signature member of the Pastel Society of Colorado. She has won numerous awards at local, state and national levels. Nancy is represented by Mary Williams Fine Arts, Boulder, and Main Street Gallery, Glen wood Springs. Her website is www.nwylie.com

Judith Scott — The Versatility of Acrylic

April 27 & 28 — 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

In "The Versatility of Acrylics" we will explore in the morning (hands on with demo) all the possibilities acrylics offers for textures, designs & tricks. The afternoon and the next day will be working on a canvas piece using of these methods.

Love Plein Air Painting, color and design, most of my sculpture and lots of my paintings are about the figure and landscape. When teaching, I like to focus on developing each student's personal search and style.

Park Hill Art Club Workshop Guidelines

Time Tip:   See schedules above. Included is an hour for lunch.

Tummy Tip:  Bring a sack lunch. PHAC will provide tea and coffee.

Courtesy Tip:   Turn off cell phones during class. Better yet. leave them outside the classroom.

Materials Tip:   You will receive a supply list two weeks prior to your workshop.

Payment:   To hold your place in a multi-day workshop, a deposit of 1/2 the fee is required when you register. You may not enrolI in just part of a multi-day workshop. Payment in full is due 3 weeks before a workshop. All payments are fully refundable up to 3 weeks prior to a workshop. Non-PHAC members may attend workshops but add $20 to the stated fee. (PHAC members receive priority registration consideration.)
