Thurs., 5/25 Red Rocks Park

Spectacular red rock formations, view of Denver. Meet at visitors center (Trading Post.) Take I-70 to Morrison exit. Turn left (South) on Highway 26 to park entrance then follow the signs. Restrooms, water, restaurant available at the Trading Post.

Thurs., 6/1 Littleton Historic Museum

May be a charge or donation. Re-creation of early in Colorado. An 1860's cabin, a house built in 1910. Barns, farm fields, people in period costumes, blacksmith shop, etc. South on Broadway to Littleton Blvd., to Gallup Street. Turn left (South) and go several blacks to entrance and parking lot.

Thurs., 6/8 Star K Ranch

Part of Sand Creek Green Way in Aurora. Take I-70 East to Chambers. Go South on Chambers to Smith Road. Go East on Smith Road to Largo. Turn right and follow curve for about one block. The Morrison Nature Center (Star K Ranch) will be on the left. Ranger Station, water, indoor restrooms, trails, trees, deer, and small creek.

Thurs., 6/15 Jewel Wetlands

13005 East Jewel Ave. In Aurora; one block West of 225 and south of Mississippi Ave to Potomac St. past the hospital. Potomac will curve to the right (West) turning into Jewel with parking on the right. Toilets but no water.

Thurs., 6/22 Audubon Center at Chatfield State Park

9308 S Wadsworth Blvd (Note - this is located south of the entrance to Chatfield State Park) The Audubon Center at Chatfield is located on the southwest end of Chatfield State Park. From I-25 take C-470 West to Wadsworth Blvd about 4.4 miles. Pat the main park entrance. Continue to Waterton Road and turn left and continue to the left to parking lot at the Audubon Center sign. Views of reservoir and mountains. Outhouse, no water.

Thurs., 6/29 Hudson Gardens

6115 S Santa Fe Dr. A botanical gardens with beautiful flowers. West side of Santa Fe Dr. about one mile south of Bellview Ave. Restrooms and water.

Thurs., 7/6 Cherry Creek Reservoir

Entrance off Parker Rd past Hampden exit. Probably meet on Lake Loop Rd East or near the Rocky Mountain Rowing Club area. State park pass fee. Restrooms and water in some areas. Note as of 5/17 there is a lot of road damage due to flooding, Lynn will monitor accessibility. Expect things to be OK by July.
